It's a dog's life

The Professor is a dog man and loves his furry family member, but he recognizes that his companion is even more laid back than he is. The dog’s attitude is basically, “Look, I’d be happy to bark but you’d ignore me, so let’s save us both the annoyance and me the waste of breath.”

The Professor decided this sign would help avoid embarrassment on both sides. If it applies to your canine friends as well, you can have one just like it for only $25 plus shipping. 18” x 8” carved out of either cedar or clear pine and finished with exterior grade polyurethane.

Even a sign maker needs a sign

Recently, while wandering through his lair, The Professor realized he needed to update his own sign. So it was time to make something shiny and spiffy. (The Professor prides himself on being spiffy and he’s always attracted to shiny things.) The plum background accents the gold text and flourishes while The Professor’s countenance reminds us that he’s always ready to make you a great sign too.

Making a brain

The Professor used his innate skills to create this Mechanical Marvel demonstrating the inner workings of the human brain. Some may say his science is inexact, but The Professor insists his work is based on strong empirical evidence and observations garnered over many decades of interaction with his fellow humans. Others say it was modeled after his “apparently” logical mind and exposes the truth behind that fiction. When questioned, The Professor merely winked and replied, “Stay Groovy.”

Remembering faithful companions

The Professor has lost too many dearly loved four legged friends over the years. They may be gone but they are still in his heart so he created this 8” x 8” plaque to help him quietly remember the joy they brought to his life.

The Professor would be happy help you remember a loving companion by making a personalized plaque just for you. The look may vary slightly depending on the availability of wood and finish. Send him an email to start the conversation. The hardwood memorial is only $55 plus shipping.

The Woodlot Incident

The idea for this automaton (Mechanical Marvel) was created when the Professor was sitting and thinking in his thinking place. You may recognize that one of the characters bears a striking resemblance to our notable hero. Some say this is based on a true event in his past life but he refused to comment saying only, "A gentleman never discusses such mundane issues."

Scott's Chill & Grill

The Professor made this sign was for a client's residential outdoor entertainment area. The 16" x 20" dimensional sign was carved out of high density urethane, making it perfect for its outdoor location. The sign was hand painted after carving and has a built-in hanger on the back side. The lightweight material makes it easy to hang anywhere.

Welcome to the workshop

Damsels rescued. Dragons slain. No reasonable request denied … unless the dragon’s really big.

Amazing Carved Signs and Mechanical Marvels come forth from the fertile mind of the Professor. When he isn’t rescuing damsels and slaying dragons he can be found working on new things in his secret lair … or taking a nap. (The Professor isn’t as young as he used to be.)

His signs are made from wood or weatherproof high density urethane and his unique mechanical marvels are made with a variety of materials and methods. Most of the Professor’s projects embrace his basic philosophy that “Life is short so have fun.”
